Another month has passed and I'm quite impressed by the number of votes we managed to get yet again especially considering almost everyone has gone back to school. I'd like to thank everyone for their continued dedication to growing and supporting the server.
I know there have been a lot of issues this month with votes not registering, so we've decided that every one of the top 10 voters will receive a reward this time.
Our #1 voter, @Arden2 will receive a $40 Buycraft coupon. #2 @jefflord15 will receive a $25 coupon. Everyone else in the top 10 will receive a $10 Buycraft coupon. If you are one of the top voters, check your in-game mail with /mail read to get your coupon code.
We've recently noticed that sprinting causes an unreasonable amount of hunger and is especially frustrating during combat. We have made some changes to this behavior in your favor. Hunger caused by sprinting has been significantly reduced and should provide for a more enjoyable experience while chasing down and subsequently killing your next poor victim. Happy hunting.
The roof cannon patch used to break falling blocks above world height, however, we have made some changes to our patch and the new behavior allows falling blocks to go above the height limit but does not allow them to form back into a solid block at height limit.
If the falling block lands at or above height limit then it will simply break upon impact. This means that any base that does not have a roof going all the way to height limit will be vulnerable to roof cannons.
Build your base to height limit if you don't want to get split by roof cannons.
In light of the recent dissatisfaction towards beacon rewards vs cost, we've decided to make some changes to the way they behave in order to add more value and justify their cost. From now on, claimed beacons will only affect faction members and allied faction members. With the amount that beacons cost and the benefits they provide at that cost, it seems only natural that your enemies don't get to benefit from them.
